My solar-powered lights go in my flower beds around my porch. Gives off a beautiful array of white light at dusk and night. Battery is charged by sunlight, last till way in early hours of morning. I can stick in ground with built-in plastic stake.  Gives me a little security of being outside if need be too. I did receive this item at discounted rate for testing experiences.
