I love the fact easily store in side of my drawer till next use. But I do alot of cooking for my family. As we are so afraid of raw food. I've not cooked chicken in months for this very reason. One dinner, I thought I out did myself completely. But totally ruin over raw chicken. I was in tears n needless to say. The other night I went to store picked up chicken breast and fresh potatoes and salad stuff. I was my new thermometer and cooking dinner. My family face went south immediately of seeing my groceries. Easily insert probe into chicken. LED digital temperature shows on dial face with in immediate seconds. So yes I had temperature on medium for even cooking. After each check of temperature, easily clean off probe before each use. But I wanted to not cook to fast but I was looking for a superb dinner. Instead of another ruined one. After continuing to check the temperature of the chicken. I could actually see the meat cook before my eyes and witness as my temperature rose.
